Plugging Away

Ever have one of those evenings where you finally clear up some time to relax but can't think of what to do? That's me right now. I've got a decent backlog of games to play, a few movies and shows I want to watch on Netflix, and I'm just not in the mood for any of it.

I've been up since about 10:30am and it's midnight now. I've been pretty much working on the channel all day. I told myself at 6 that I was going to "clock out" and just relax the rest of the day, but I just kept working. It's not an exhaustive work or anything. I'm not forcing myself to keep working. I just don't feel like doing anything else.

I wonder if these are the days people talk about when they say running your own gig will require long days. They don't feel long. They just feel super productive.

In other news, I'm planning to kick off Rob Plays Adventure Co this weekend with the first episode of the vlog. I'm really interested in seeing how many people end up subscribing in those first few days. My prediction is 1500-2000 in the first three days. Considering the bulk of Rob Plays grew from the history videos, I'm not expecting a ton of enthusiasm for a vlog stuff.

That's OK though. I'm really approaching the Adventure Co with a laid back hobbyist approach. It's not going to be like Rob Plays where I'm tracking all the stats every day and trying to do whatever I can to keep growing. I'm going to just put out my vlogs and any other videos I end up making, and just let it go wherever it goes.

And lastly... well ,there actually is no lastly. I'm not going to lie, I don't have much to bring to the table tonight. I've been working pretty much all day every day since we got back. It feels great to have a list of stuff to do and more importantly, to want to do it. It just means that not much has been going outside of just plugging away at work.

Next week it going to be a bit of a change of pace. This last month I was banging my head against a wall every week trying to think of what video to make, but now I've got about 5 weeks worth of topics lined up, so that should speed up the writing process and free up some time to relax more.

Let's just hope that when the time comes I'm in the mood to!
